MY FILMMAKING
STORY
My filmmaking journey began at the BBC, where I spent over two decades as a News Reader and Video Journalist, telling stories across global newsrooms and various programs. It taught me one powerful lesson: no two stories are the same.
This belief is at the heart of my approach to wedding films, ensuring each one uniquely reflects the couple’s journey.
While at the BBC, I started Story Of Your Day, driven by my passion for storytelling beyond the confines of newsrooms. Balancing both roles became increasingly challenging, and I reached a point where I had to make a choice. Leaving the BBC wasn’t easy – my dad, my greatest fan, didn’t speak to me for three months – but I knew it was time to fully embrace my calling.
That decision allowed me to shape Story Of Your Day into what it is today: a place where I don’t just film weddings, but tell the true, authentic stories of the couples I work with.
Storytelling isn’t just what I do – it’s who I am. Through Story Of Your Day, I’ve discovered my Ikigai – the intersection of my skills, my purpose, and my joy. This isn’t merely filmmaking; it’s the art of creating meaning, legacy, and emotion in motion.

Beyond the Lens: My Life and Passions
As well as being a filmmaker, storyteller, and visionary, I’m also a mother, dog-mum, sailor, skier, fondue-fiend, and gin-lover. My work has taken me to incredible destinations and connected me with amazing people, bringing me the joy of telling their stories.
I now live in the beautiful, car-free ski resort of Wengen, Switzerland – a charming village nestled high in the Jungfrau Region of the Alps. It’s an idyllic place that inspires me daily, surrounded by breathtaking views and a peaceful way of life. I share this incredible setting with my husband, two boys, and our gorgeous dog, Voltaire.
I’m committed to filming one passion project or ‘Story For The Soul’ each year, dedicated to individuals, communities, or causes that inspire me. I’m also passionate about sharing my expertise as a mentor, trainer, and brand ambassador supporting and inspiring fellow filmmakers, especially women in the industry.
